Marlington girls and St. Thomas Aquinas boys took 1st place laurels at todays Salem Early Bird Invitational at Salem Memorial Park. The Marlington girls led by first place finisher junior Alyssa Viscounte (20:19.9) scored 39 points to win the event. St. Thomas Aquinas boys scored 25 points to win the first place award. Dylan Bailey of Alliance was the race winner in 17:34.01.
The Salem middle school girls won the 2 mile race scoring 46 points. Race winner was Alayna Cuevas of Boardman Glenwood in a time of 13:09.8.The North Canton middle school boys won the team championship scoring 38 points. Noah Graham of Marlington was the race winner in 11:34.3.
